The Cisco Academy
Cisco Networking Academy transforms the lives of learners, educators and communities through the power of technology, education and career opportunities.
Online courses are self-paced and use the same curriculum taught in Networking Academy classrooms, where students take courses institutions in their local community.
The Home Office
The Home Office is the lead government department for immigration, passports, drugs policy, crime, fire, counter-terrorism and police. Their goals include cutting crime and the harm it causes (including cyber-crime), protecting vulnerable people & communities, and reducing terrorism.
We work with the Home Office, particularly in respect of its focus on reducing cyber crime and protecting & educating vulnerable people and communities. The Trust has delivered Cyber & IT training to `at risk’ individuals as part of the HO Offender Management Programme.
The Department for Education
The Department for Education (DfE) is responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England.
We work with the DfE in support of its objectives and feed-in to research and fact-finding in terms of training, T-Levels and apprenticeships, particularly in the fields of DigiTech and Cybersecurity. We have also developed innovative courses including a Cyber Analyst upskilling course, delivered to people who are already ‘in work’, and a basic IT/Cyber course for ‘at risk’ individuals in the West Midlands.
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) aims to position the UK at the forefront of global scientific and technological advancement; drive innovations that change lives and sustain economic growth; and deliver talent programmes, physical & digital infrastructure and regulation to support the economy, security and public services.
We have developed a close relationship with DSIT, specifically the teams responsible for DigiTech & Cybersecurity (including the focus on AI), and they frequently support the CyberHub Community Outreach events.
